10 Dresses you can't resist

As promised, here comes my first post of 10# series.
This round I'm going to depict 10 different styles of dresses you MUST have/ MUST not refuse/ just extremely important into entering various events.

I am not going to talk about LBDs because that is so freshman level. By now, you should own at least 2 LBDs as basic.

These are the 10 dresses of all seasons, that i think would not go out of style. There are classic elegant pieces, also colourful, vibrant fun pieces. Price ranges are quite wide, you can almost find dupes of them everywhere.

TIP: Doesn't have to be designer dresses! Just stick to a few simple rule then you can definitely master the skill of #styleforless !

 #10 The Bodycon

It clings to the body, gives sort of a 'bandage' to the body,
and the mix n match of fabric can actually slim us down.
The thicker the stretchy fabric is, the more it gives us a clean and smooth curve.
I would say this is my number 10, because not everyone can carry this well.

BUT ! It is undeniable that this style is very easy to match.
#9 Cut-outs

I know, cut-outs are so 2012. This is an amazing way to show off skin without being too showy.
It is a great piece to wear to almost anywhere during summer!
A bright colour will instantly cheer you - and others up!

 #8 Halters

Halter neckline always remind me of one of the sexiest icon, Monroe.
Somehow, you don't need plunging cleavage to pull this off!
Just pair it with simple bohemian accessories then the look will instantly be toned down into a simple everyday look!
 #7 Bright, flowy summer dresses

One of my favourite to wear!
The gradient of the fabric reminds me of dancing lights (Aurora) and it is just very well balanced.
However, keep your accessories really simple. If possible, just wear a ring / petite necklaces.
Also, you can never go wrong with big fluffy bohemian hair! i love those paired with dresses like this!

 #6 Versatile-maxi

Made out of jersey, this type of maxi dress is best worn with just a scarf and denim jacket.
Sandals and you're good to go!
The reason i love this is because of how comfortable it is to look at, and also really comfy while wearing it. Golden rule: effortless style looks the most chic!

#5 Boat neckline dresses

I love this because visually, your waist looks smaller, because of the coverings at almost the whole shoulder. Also it is quite conservative, and it is a style worn by many people. One of the style that could turn us into effortless beauties!

#4 Sparkly Cocktail

Who am i kidding? I call this the armour to all parties!
Invited or not, crash parties in the most sparkly dress you got!
I think it is a prove of confidence if you wear something like this. Its so attention grabbing and everyone will be noticing you (probably because of light reflecting but who cares)

#3 Ball gown

Let's face it. Disney princesses did quite an impact for all of us girly girls and this is just one of it. Ball scene, anyone? Well we might not have any occasion to wear this around (maybe once in lifetime for your wedding) BUT personally i dreamt and dreamt about slipping this gorgeous piece on. Full skirts, the fuller the better! Did i mention you will need huge can cans underneath? LOL, disney moments like Cinderella. Gotta be princess once in a lifetime!

#2 BIG DAY

Need not to elaborate more, this needs a whole new post to discuss about. From the style, colour, material, location (outdoor/indoor) etc, Wedding Gowns gives you the widest range of variety and also headaches. talk about crazy! here i just want to state that we should try to purchase our wedding gown. Say whaaaat? It's so pricey and everyone has been telling you to cut cost on weddings and possibly rent one. But, the one you purchase can be altered and sized as you want, better still, customize one. I love the idea of passing down the wedding gown to your daughter (or in law) if it's one beautiful classy piece. Vintage gowns significants long lasting marriage and happiness. I would love to keep that part of tradition if I can afford it.

and drum rolls....

#1 Oriental magnificent

TADA! It is the cheongsam I'm talking about. Traditional cheongsam has a loose cut, and it does not cling to your curves. It was modified in Shanghai, adapted by the western style. Body hugger it is, showing off curves and that side parting along the side seam just makes you feel extra sexy. Some even part up till the upper thigh! I recommend mid-thigh for a classy finish. Short cheongsams, long cheongsam dresses, both are just as amazing. It is also one of the choice for chinese brides as a wedding dress. Cheongsam is now international and lots of celebrities from the west adores it as well.

So that sums up my top 10 of dresses you will not miss.
Which is your favourite of all 10?

See ya next time!

My ultimate favourite style icon, Blair Waldorf (fictional character played by Meester) got married in my imaginary perfect true love princessy life! This gown is perfect and (insert amount of fan girl words)  so thank you and bye!
